| Objective: To investigate the effect of T type distal locking plate of the distal radius on the treatment of the medial clavicular fracture with the fixation of the transthoracic locking joint.Method: 11 cases of displaced medial clavicular fractures treated in October 2014-2017 June were treated by open reduction and T type distal radius locking plate transthoracic clavicular arthrodesis. The patient’s operation time, bleeding volume, wound healing and complications were recorded.Follow up was performed to observe fracture healing and shoulder function. At last follow-up,Constant-Murley score and DASH score were used to evaluate limb function. Results: The median of operation time in this group was 45min(range30-60min),and the median of intraoperative bleeding was 80ml(50-100ml).All patients were followed up after operation. The X-ray examination showed that the fracture was repositioned well and the internal fixation was reliable. No wound infection and skin necrosis occurred. All fractures healed within 6months after operation. No complications such as fracture nonunion or malunion occurred. No breakage of plate and screw extraction occurred. The score of Constant-Murley shoulder joint function was(92.5+1.5),and the DASH score was(4.6 + 0.8)scores.Conclusion: T type locking plate fixation for the treatment of medial clavicular fractures is safe and effective and can achieve fracture healing and good functional results. |
