Objective: Devising an index system to evaluate the young physician elites for the human resources department of a class A tertiary comprehensive hospital in Hebei province. At the same time, the evaluation results of young physician elites can be used as objective basis in the appraisal of advanced studies, professional titles, priorities and cadre.Utilizing the objective and impartial evaluation results, and strengthening the standardized management of young physician elites to achieve the purpose of improving the overall quality of young physician elites and enhancing the comprehensive strength of the hospital. Methods: According to relevant policy documents, combined with the actual situation and objective conditions of the hospital, the evaluation index system was framed by literature analysis method and the Delphi method.Applying linear interpolation to evaluate the performence of the young physician elites from several dimentions, such as medical, teaching and scientific research, and calculate the reliability and validity of the index system according to the evaluation results. Finally,we discussed the suggestions for optimizing the evaluation of young physician elites.Results:1.An index system was constructed for the evaluation of young physician elites, that was composed by 4 first-level indicators, basic quality, medical technology, teaching ability and scientific research ability,12 second-level indicators and 15 third-level indicators.2.The positive coefficients of two rounds of expert advice were 0.875 and 1.0 respectively, the authority coefficient was 0.905,and the coordination coefficients were 0.377 and 0.533 respectively.3.The overall cronbach α coefficient of the index system was 0.812,and the cronbach α coefficient of the first-level indicators were between 0.769 and 0.881.The correlation coefficients of the third-level indicators and its relevant first-level indicator are all greater than the correlation coefficients of the third-level indicators and its irrelevant first-level indicator. We extracted four factors, whose extraction sums of squared loadings cumulated was 75.183%.Conclusion: The indicators selected for the evaluation of young physician elites in this study were scientific, objective and operable. This index system can be used to evaluate the young physician elites for the human resources department of a class A tertiary comprehensive hospital in Hebei province. In the process of consultation, specialists were active and professional, meanwhile, their suggestions were coordinative;the structure of the index system possessed a high reliability and validity. However,in the process of practice,it is necessary to further optimize the indicators and weights on the basis of the actual evaluation purpose so that the index system is more scientific and reasonable.
