Clinical Observations On Reducing Yin And Reinforcing Yang Using Filiform Needle For The Treatment Of Stroke Spastic Paralysis

Objectives To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of reducing Yin and reinforcing Yang filiform needle for the treatment of stroke spastic paralysis,to make evaluation and comparison among the methods of reducing Yin and reinforcing Yang and uniform reinforcing-reducing.Methods According to the random number table,70 spastic paralysis of stroke patients were randomized into treatment group and control group with 35 cases each group.The treatment group was treated with reducing Yin and reinforcing Yang using Jiquan,Chize,Neiguan,Yinlingquan,Sanyinjiao of Yin Meridian and Baihui,Zhizheng,Hegu,Liangqiu,Qiuxu of Yang Meridian.Yin Meridian points using lifting and thrusting reducing with every points 10 seconds while Yang Meridian points using lifting and thrusting reinforcing with every points 5 seconds.Leave the needles 30 minutes and move them 1 time after 15 minutes.The control group was the same as the treatment group on points,every points 10 seconds with reinforcing-reducing like the last time.All groups were treated once a day,9 days for a period of treatment,continuously 3 courses of treatment and each course rest 1 day.Modified Ashworth grading,activities of daily living and simplified Fugl-Meyer motor function were evaluated in each groups.Results Compared with the score before,there was a significant difference in the score of modified Ashworth grading,activities of daily living and simplified Fugl-Meyer motor function after treatment for two groups.Two groups had statistic significance(P<0.01).Two groups’ scores of Ashworth had statistical significant(P<0.05)after treatment.Two groups’ scores of activities of daily living and simplified Fugl-Meyer motor function had a very significant differences(P < 0.01)after treatment.Comparing the clinical efficacy between the two groups,in the treatment group,10 cases were remarkably improved,13 cases were effective,9 cases were improved,3 cases were ineffective,the total effective rate was 91.43%;in the control group,5 cases were remarkably improved,10 cases were effective,11 cases were improved,9 cases were ineffective,the total effective rate was 74.29%.There was a significant differenuce between the two groups in therapeutic effect(P<0.05).Conclusions Both reducing Yin and reinforcing Yang and reinforcing-reducing can improve modified Ashworth grading,activities of daily living,simplified Fugl-Meyer motor function score.And the clinical efficacy of filiform needle reducing Yin and reinforcing Yang group was better than that of the filiform needle reinforcing-reducing group.
