Observation On The Safety Of Tonifying Kidney,Clearing Away Damp-heat And Activating Blood Treatment Combined With Tripterygium Wilfordii On Proteinuria In Chronic Glomerulonephritis

Objective:To observe the adverse reactions of tonifying kidney,clearing away damp-heat and activating blood treatment together with Tripterygium Wilfordii(TW)on proteinuria in chronic glomerulonephritis,compared with TW as the control group,analyzing the occurrence of side-effects of TW and exploring the Attenuation Effect of Chinese Medicine on TW.Methods:The 62 patients who diagnosed with primary chronic glomerulonephritis collected from Jiangsu Province Hospital of TCM nephrology department since September 2015 to January 2018 for treatment,divide into treatment group(32 cases)and control group(30 cases).On the base of basic treatment of Western Medicine,treatment group was applied with tonifying kidney,clearing away damp-heat and activating blood therapry and TW.TW was applied to control group.To observe and record the occurrence of side-effects and the change of ALT、AST、WBC、Hb、PLT、BUN、Scr、24hUTP、Alb in the two groups before and after treatment in 3 months.Results:(1)The 24 hours urines protein quantitation was decreased significantly in the third month in the t-wo groups(P<0.01),and it has statistical significance between the two groups(P<0.05);The serum albumin of the two groups was increased significantly after three months(P<0.01),but it has no statistical significance between the two groups(P>0.05);(2)Comparison of the incidence of adverse effects:Both of the groups has side-effects,the total rate of 31.35%and 56.67%,The total incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05)and there was no significant difference between the groups(P>0.05);(3)Effect on liver function:The ALT increased in both groups(P<0.01),it has no statistical significance between the two groups(P>0.05);The AST of control group higher three months before(P<0.05);(4)Effect on blood routine:WBC、Hb、PLT of the two groups have no statistical difference after treatment(P>0.05);(5)Effects on kidney function:After treatment of three months,the BUN and Scr were decreased in treatment group(P<0.05),while have no difference in control group(P>0.05),and there have no statistical significance between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:TW can cause a certain degree of adverse reactions,among them,liver damage is the most significant,tonifying kidney,clearing away damp-heat and activating blood has a attenuating effect on TW and tonifying kidney,clealing away damp-heat and activating blood applied with TW have efficacy on reducing proteinuria and stabilizing kidney function.The combination of traditional Chinese medicine reduce TW’s adverse reactions and enhances the efficacy,so that the safety of TW can be improved.
