Objective To investigate the psychological experience and the current status of gratitude of recipients underwent living related donor kidney transplantation,and to further explore factors affecting thanksgiving and the correlation with post-traumatic growth and social support,thereby providing a theoretical basis for the improvement of both psychological recovery and quality of life after renal transplantation.Methods:(1)Interviews were conducted in 25 recipients underwent living related donor kidney transplantation by using semi-structured interview method,the main contents of the interview include: feelings for kidney-donor relatives,perceptionsa bout the operation,sensation of change in life and special feelings,the data was sorted by Giorgi analysis.(2)Based on the results of the qualitative research,Chinese Gratitude Questionnaire-6(C-GQ-6),Post-traumatic Growth Rating Scale(PTGI),Social Support rating scale(SSRS)and self-designed general situation questionnaire were applied for the investigation among recipients who were regularly followed up in our hospital from January 2017 to August 2017.189 questionnaires were conducted,and 170 valid questionnaires were collected.Results:(1)The psychological experience of recipents underwent living related donor kidney transplantation includes post-traumatic growth,deconstruction of life meaning,gratitude,hope and challenge.The psychological experience of recipients is affected by several factors,including positive psychological experience,negative psychological experience and unstable psychological experience.(2)The total Thanksgiving score was30.01±3.13,Post-traumatic growth score was 63.10±8.82 and the social support score41.74±5.10.Univariate analysis and LSD test showed that gender,education level,occupation and medical insurance type were the main factors influencing the gratitude of the recipients.Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that gender,medical insurance type,occupation and social support were the main influencing factors.The correlation analysis revealed that the patients ’ gratitude was positively correlated with the total score of Post-traumatic growth and social support(p<0.01).Conclusion:(1)The psychological experience of recipients underwent living related kidney transplantation is complicated.They have the positive psychological experience that resulted from the smooth recovery of the disease and the improvement of the quality of life,and also have negative emotional caused by impaired donor health,complications and rejection,and imperfect social support systems.Guiding patients to adjust cognitive and behavioral patterns and integrate medical social resources can help to strengthen the psychological capacities of patients facing the future.(2)The Thanksgiving of living donor kidney transplantation recipients is good.They usually have Post-traumatic growth,and receive more social support than healthy people.Gender,education level,occupation,type of health care and social support system affect their gratitude level.Comprehensive assessment of the patients’ available resources,positive guidance,and enhancement of patients’ social support system can improve the level of gratitude,promote the recovery of physiological,psychological and social functions,and improve the psychological recovery and quality of life after renal transplantation.
