Research About Oral Health Care Of People In The Specialist Clinic Of Stomatology And Community Intervention Needs In Hefei

Objective: To understand the oral health care of people in the department of stomatology in Hefei related to oral health-care knowledge,oral health attitude,behavior,oral health conditions and the use of community oral health services and needs,etc.To provide a basis for community oral health work,and comprehensively improve the oral health of the population.Methods: According to the random sampling method,this study used a self-made questionnaire to conduct a questionnaire survey among residents over 18 years of age attending in the department of stomatology in Hefei.The contents of the questionnaire mainly include the basic information of the respondent,the oral health care information,the prevalence of oral diseases and the availability,utilization and demand of oral health services in the community.Survey statistical analysis was performed with EpiData 3.0 and SPSS16.0.Results:(1)A total of 550 questionnaires are distributed in this survey,500 valid questionnaires were collected,and the effective response rate is 90.9%.The age ranged from 18 to 85 years,with an average age of(40.15±17.846)years.The age group consisted of 195 cases(39%)aged 18-29 years,114 cases(22.8%)aged 30-44 years,101 cases(20.2%)45-59 years old and 90 cases(18.0%)aged 60 years and older.181(36.2%)and 319(63.8%)women;Gender: 181 males(36.2%),319 females(63.8%),The degree of education is mainly undergraduate(34.0%)and college(21.4%),Occupation mainly consisted of 124 professional technicians,doctors and teachers(24.8%),93 students(18.6%)and 92 general staffs,servants and workers(18.4%),The average monthly household income was 196(39.2%)at 3000-5999 yuan and 134(26.8%)at 6000-9999 yuan.(2)The respondents reported a higher prevalence of oral diseases,mainly caries 152(36.2%)and periodontitis 142(33.8%).(3)The average oral health knowledge score was 5.66±1.900 with a passing rate of 55.8%.The awareness rate of oral health damage to tobacco and alcohol was high(90.0%),The lowest awareness rate of dental care time(5.8%),The mean score of attitudes was 6.58±1.591.The correct rate of correct understanding of oral health was the highest(97.0%),and the lowest rate of brushing(25.2%).The average behavior score was 6.33±1.978 points,brushing habits are better,but the proportion of regular oral examination is very low(10.6%).The age,sex,educated level and the average monthly household income of the respondents are the main factors influencing oral health knowledge and attitude(P<0.05).The age,knowledge score and attitude score of the respondents are the influencing factors of oral health care behavior(P<0.05).(4)The main pathways about respondents who understand the oral health knowledge are network(49.4%)and medical workers(30.4%);the main willingness pathways are medical workers(55.8%)and network(49.0%).(5)The survey showed that 69.0% of the patients were diagnosed as oral discomfort,the reason of don't visit was considered as not necessary(41.3%)and no time(39.4%);the proportion of community-based stomatology was 26.8%.The rate of community-based dentistry visits was 35.1%.The reasons for not seeking community-based dental services were mainly fear inaccurate diagnosis and treatment(66.7%).(6)Community oral health service development rate is low(12%)and utilization rate is low.Conclusion: The study found that oral health knowledge scores of respondents is lower,awareness is acceptable,but the correct rate of behavior is low,and oral health care behavior is affected by many factors,the detection rate of oral diseases is higher,the visiting rate is lower,the community oral service rate is low,the utilization rate is low.The government,community medical institutions,individuals and all sectors of society should make concerted efforts to explore effective community oral health care services and health education measures to raise residents' awareness of oral health and the utilization of oral health services in the community,in order to better protect their oral health.
