This paper was based on the annual health care of released Przewalski’s horses in Xinjiang.Indirect ELISA procedures of horse gastric myiasis were established, both antigens of crude extract and salivary gland of Gasterophilus pecorum third instar larvae(L3)were used as diagnostic antigen.Specific IgG in the serum and fecal immunoglobulin extract of Przewalski’s and domestic horses were tested. The procedures established in this paper will fill the gap of horse gastric myiasis laboratory diagnosis in our country, and also can provide guidances for the scientific managements of released Przewalski’s horses.Besides, the dynamic models of G.spp.larvae discharge were established by fitting the number of larvae discharge from the equids after taking ivermectin, the peaks of larvae discharge were predicted by the model, which could help the collection of fresh maggots. The results showed that the established ELSIA procedures could be used to diagnose horse gastric myiasis, and the specific IgG levels had no correlation with the infection intensity of G.spp.larvae.The results of the dynamic model fitting showed that the peak of Przewalski and domestic horses were both about 48 hours after the administration. The conclusions can be drawn as below in this paper;(1)The indirect ELISA diagnostic procedures of horse gastric myiasis have good sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility, and have strong antigen specificity.(2)The G.pecorum L3 salivary gland antigen has good antigenicity, which could be used as an ideal material to the immunological method study of horse gastric myiasis.(3)Larvae discharge cycle of equine lasted about 4~5d after taking ivermecti, the peak larvae discharge was about 47h,which exactly showed larvae discharge peak and the most suitable sampling time of collecting maggots.(4)The repellent effect was irrelevant to the equine species and infection intensity of G.spp.larvae.The regression equation quantified the early observations, the conclusion could help to improve the collection efficiency and obtain fresh maggot samples, which laid a foundation for further study.
