| The clustered down of the Bothriochloa ischaemum seeds leads the seeds to adhere with each other,which brings inconvenience to the seed sowing.The objective was to explore a method that could wipe off the down or package the down to seed expediently.In the first experiment,Hydrochloric acid(HCL),sulfuric acid(H2SO4)and sodium hydroxide(NaOH)were selected to treat B.ischaemum seeds to study the effect of different concentrations and durations on depilating,The depilating qualified seeds were chosen to conduct germination experiments and determinevigor indexes by evaluating the rate of depilating.The optimum treatment concentration and time were optimized by considering the effect on seed vigor after depilating.In the second experiment,different seed coating formulations were composed of filling agents by talcum powder,montmorillonite and vermiculite and binders by Arabia gum(AG),Polyvinyl ketone(PVP),Polyvinyl alcohol(PVR),Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC)and Carboxymethyl cellulose(MC)for artificial coating By assessing the contain seed rate,single seed rate,moisture content,qualified rate and splitting rate of coated B.ischaemum seeds to screen out qualified seeds which were conducted for germination test The suitable filling agent ratio and concentrations of binders for B.Ischaemum coating seeds were screened by evaluating the germination potential and germination rate of the coating seeds.The results showed that:1.Considering the depilating effect and seed vigor index,HCl was invalid for depilating;NaOH could remove the downs on the surface of the B.ischaemum seeds,but it caused damage to the seeds,which led to the decrease of seeds vigor,so that it was also not suitable for B.ischaemum seed depilating;60%H2SO4 treatment for 10 min was appropriate for depilating with no significant influence on seed germination index(CK 34.53%;treat group 35.25%)and seed vigor index(CK 84.83%;treat group 79.88%).2.A total of 51 groups of seed coating agent formulas were met the quality requirements for B.ischaemum seed coating by assessing contain seed rate,single seed rate,moisture content,and qualified rate.3.The best coating combination were achieved by the following four schemes for coating B.ischaemum seeds,which germination rate and germination were significantly higher than those of control group.(1)6% PVP as binder with talcum powder50:montmorillonite 30:vermiculite20 as filling agent(2)1.5% CMC as binder with talcum powder90:vermiculitelO as filling agent(3)0.25% MC as binder with talcum powder90:vermiculitelO as filling agent(4)0.75% MC as binder with talcum powder90:vermiculite10 as filling agentThe Bothriochloa ischaemum seeds after the depilating and seed coating process to solve the seeds to adhere with each other,increase the ease of planting seeds,which provides assistance for large-scale cultivation and grass germplasm The Bothriochloa ischaemum. |
