The current research on seed germination is mostly based on the statistics of seed number,and then the germination rate is calculated.However,there are few studies on the laws of moisture distribution in seeds and the dynamic migration of seeds.NMR technology has a great advantage compared with the traditional method.It can quickly,accurately and intuitively determine the change of water and different structural characteristics inside the sample,which can help us to understand the water absorption pattern in the process of Maize Germination more deeply.In this study,NMR was used to study the distribution and variation of water in the seeds of the main maize varieties in Liaoning Province under different germination time and temperature.It can provide an effective section and method technical hand for the breeding of Maize Varieties against drought stress and the field management of Maize during the germination period.It is of great significance to the practice of production.The main research content and the results obtained are as follows:(1)Due to the accurate control of maize seed germination conditions in the field,how to build the seed germination environment is very important.The whole experiment scheme of Maize Germination was designed in detail.First,the different factors affecting the germination of maize were analyzed,and the suitable test varieties and experimental materials and instruments were selected according to the germination rate and characteristic characteristics.Through the careful treatment and preparation of samples,a reasonable germination test environment was established,and corn seeds were dynamically monitored during the germination process and intermittent sampling.(2)The expression of water phase information in maize seeds is composed of combined water,semi bonded water and free water.In this paper,the phase structure of water is defined by the information of water freedom described by the chemical environment and transverse relaxation time.The form of water phase in maize seeds is determined by inversion of the peak shape of the spectrum by transverse relaxation time.The form of water phase in maize seeds was determined by morphology.(3)The signal amplitude of the NMR transverse relaxation inversion spectrum,which is the integral area of the different T2 interval,represents the relative content of the hydrogen proton in the T2 interval,and the different content of each phase water can be reflected from the amplitude of the signal.Through the dynamic monitoring of the germination process of maize seed,the internal moisture was quantitatively studied,and the internal water distribution and flow law in the process of maize seed germination were found,and the effects of germination temperature and time on water distribution and water absorption were obtained.
