| ’Vittatum’ is one of the common varieties of Chlorophytum comosum,which is the traditional living room plant and hanging foliage plants.It is also one of the plants commonly used in indoor plant curtain wall,and has good ornamental value.Furthermore,’ Vittatum’also has a good indoor air purifier function.It can absorb formaldehyde and other toxic gases,and release negative oxygen ions,so it also known as the "green purifier".’Vittatum’ cultured with the general method often appear leggy plants,thin stems and too much stolons,easy to lodging and other characteristics,seriously affected its ornamental value.The dwarfing effect of ’Vittatum’ was studied by different dwarfing treatments,and’Vittatum’ was planted as a curtain wall plant,by studying the dwarfing mechanism of’Vittatum’ to explore the difference between the dwarfing of the curtain wall plants and the dwarfing of plants on the ground,try to find the best way to deal with the dwarfing of the curtain wall.In the process of dwarfing ’Vittatum’,this experiment designed two kinds of planting methods:ground placing and curtain wall hanging,PP333 and S3307,foliar-spraying and soil-drench were used as variables,by using these variables we carry out to orthogonal design.During the dwarfing of these series of treatments,the effect of dwarfing treatment was analyzed by recording the change of the appearance of the treated plants.Finally,the dwarfing mechanism of S3307 was explored by analyzing the physiological characteristics of ’Vittatum’.The effects of S3307 in high concentration on the offspring were studied by analyzing the stolons growing under undue inhibition of S3307.The main results as follows:(1)The dwarfing effects of ’Vittatum’ caused by different dwarfing treatments are different.From the analysis of two planting methods,the inhibitory effect of ’Vittatum’ hung on curtain wall is better than that putted on the ground;From the analysis of two plant growth retardants,the inhibitory effect of S3307 on ’Vittatum’ is better than that of PP333,and which used with lower concentration and caused lower poison;From the analysis of two application methods,the inhibitory effect of soil-drench on ’Vittatum’ is better than that of foliar-spraying;(2)Different dwarfing treatments has its advantages and disadvantages.From the analysis of the two planting methods,the ’Vittatum’ hung on curtain wall were more obvious on drawfing effects,but it grown slower than that putted on the ground due to confined space and be squeezed easily,furthermore the water retention capacity of ’Vittatum’ hung on curtain wall is weaker than that putted on the ground,and its appearance is not beautiful;From the analysis of the two application methods,the concentration of plant growth retardants by soil-drench is lower than that by foliar-spraying,but it need more dosage,further more the effects of soil-drench on leaf number and leaf width is weaker than that of foliar-spraying.(3)Under the same kind of treatment,a certain concentration range could beautify the appearance of ’Vittatum’,while more than the certain concentration,the ’Vittatum’ would be over inhibited and lost its ornamental value.The results showed that the dwarfing effect was the best when the plant height inhibition rate,leaf length inhibition rate,leaf number growth rate,leaf width growth rate were positive and maximum at the same time.The optimum concentration of DPP treatment was PP333 25 mg/L,the optimum concentration of DSP treatment was S330-7 15 mg/L,the optimum concentration of MPP treatment was PP333 25 mg/L,the optimum concentration of MSP treatment was S3307 15 mg/L,the optimum concentration of MPG’ treatment was PP333 6 mg/L,the optimum concentration of MSG’ treatment was S3307 2 mg/L.When beyonded the optimum concentration,the growth rate of leaf number or leaf width of ’Vittatum’ will become negative,and its appearance will be affected.(4)Both foliar-spraying with S3307 and soil-drench with S3307 could affect the physiological indexes of’Vittatum’,S3307 could enhance the activities of antioxidant enzymes(including CAT,POD,SOD),reduce MDA content,increase soluble protein content and chlorophyll content in a certain concentration range and a certain times of application,thus the stress resistance would be enhanced,quality and aesthetics would be increased.The best effect were obtained when used S3307 15 mg/L 3 times or S3307 30 mg/L 2 times of foliar-spraying,used S3307 2 mg/L 3 times or S3307 3 mg/L 2 times of soil-drench.While when beyonded the optimum concentration or the optimum number of application,the inhibitory effec would reduce and even appear over-inhibition.(5)The overall dwarf effect of S3307 treatment on ’Vittatum’ hung on curtain wall was better than PP333.In appearance,S3307 treatment not only dwarfed plants,but also increased the leave number,leaf width,deepened the leaf color,improved the appearance;In terms of physiological characteristics,S3307 treatment could increase the stress resistance,soluble protein content and chlorophyll content of leaves.(6)The results showed that there was a significant difference in morphological and physiological characteristics between the stolons which were grown under high concentration of S3307 and the control group,and there was a certain law.When the concentration of S3307 was 5 mg/L and 15 mg/L,CAT activity was slightly lower than the control group,POD activity was significantly decreased,SOD activity was significantly higher,MDA content was slightly higher than the control group,soluble protein content higher than the control group,chlorophyll content had no significant difference compared with the control group.Comprehensive analysis,it was found that the stress resistance of the stolons was slightly lower than the control group in these concentration,,the quality was higher than the the control group due to the soluble protein content was higher,while the leaf color had no significant change because of the chlorophyll is no significant difference,the survival rate may be no significant difference compared with the control group;When the concentration of S3307 was 30 mg/L,50 mg/L,100 mg/L,the degree of decline in stress resistance is more obvious,and the protein content and chlorophyll content had no significant difference compared with the control group.The quality and leaf color had no significant difference compared with the control group,the survival rate may be lower than the control group. |
