A Taxonomic Study On The Tribes Ephedrini And Praini(Hymenoptera:Braconidae:Aphidiinae)from China

Aphidiinae is a very special subfamilies of family Braconidae,including approximately 650 described species in the world.All species are solitaryendoparasitoids of aphids.Many species of Aphidiinae are very important in natural control of agricultural pests.In the taxonomic part,55 species of six genera in two tribes Ephedrini Mackauer and Praini Mackauer from China are recognized and described with illustrations based on about 6000 specimens,of which one genus and 18 species are new to science,and three genera(incloud one genus of Aphidiini)and one species are recorded from China for the first time.Information on general characters,distribution and hosts are provided for each tribe and genus.Keys to tribes,genera,subgenera and species are also provided.In addition,14 species previously known from China are listed,but no specimens were available for this study.Types are all deposited in the Parasitic Hymenoptera Collection of Zhejiang University(ZJUH).The new and newly recorded taxa are listed as follows:New species:Ephedrus(Ephedrus)antennalis Tian et Chen,sp.nov.,Ephedrus(Ephedrus)areolaris Tian et Chen,sp.nov.,Ephedrus(Ephedrus)fumeus Tian et Chen,sp.nov.,Praon acarastigma Tian et Chen,sp.nov.,Praon anocaudatum Tian et Chen,sp.nov.,Praon brevifemorale Tian et van Achterberg,sp.nov.,Praonbreviradiale Tian et Chen,sp.nov.,Praon furcatus Tian et van Achterberg,sp.nov.,Praon leptostigma Tian et Chen,sp.nov.,Praon longiradiale Tian et Chen,sp.nov.,Praon nigrum Tian et Chen,sp.nov.,Praon paraglabrum Tian et Chen,sp.nov.,Praon xinjiangense Tian et Chen,sp.nov.,Toxares furcatus Tian et Chen,sp.nov.,Toxares rugosus Tian et Chen,sp.nov.New genus:Astigmapraon Tian et Chen,gen.nov.New records of genera for China:Aclitus Forster,1862(Aphidiini),Areopraon Mackauer,1959;Pseudopraon Stary,1975.New records of species for China:Praon artemisaphis Smith,1944.New synonyms:Praon changbaishanense Shi,2001 with Praon pequodorum Viereck,1917;Praon muyuense Shi,2001 with Praon baodingense(Ji et Zhang,1992).
