| Four kinds of common light media,those were corn cob cab,corn stover,edible fungus waste and turfy,"with Larch needles-humus and vermiculite repectively were seclected to culture Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr.container seedlings.By comparing the seedling growth and root responses,we selected the better culture media for light media composition and better nutrient method.The results are as follows:1、Seedlings height,biomass,nutrient content of various organs and root morphology of different medium were samilar with the control.The seedlings growing in the light media have reached the Ash S1-0 I grade wood standard.So these types of light media can be described as a matrix of light Ash container seedlings growing media.Diameter of T1(edible fungus waste+larch needles and humus+vermiculite)seedlings was significantly higher than T2,T3 and T4.T1 height to diameter ratio is also significantly lower than T2(corn core+larch needles and humus+vermiculite),T3(corn straw+larch needles and humus+vermiculite),T4(turfy+larch needles and humus+vermiculite).Primary root anatomical structure analysis shows that T1 primary root diameter,the diameter of cortical cells,cortical cell layers and vascular bundles were significantly larger than those of other light matrix seedlings.T1 seedlings’roots showed a stronger absorption capacity.Because T1 is the lightest media among them namely T1<T4<CK<T3<T2,and it was easier to be derived and handled than other substrates,it is recommended to use T1 as a light matrix Ash container seedling substrate.2,Quality index of T6(turfy:larch needles and humus:vermiculite=2:1:1)seedlings were significantly higher than the other three treatments(P<0.05),Specific root length,root diameter,the diameter of vascular,biomass,total nitrogen content of T6 seedlings were significantly higher than the other three kinds of matrix(P<0.05).Diameter,cortical cell layers and the vascular diameter of first order root in T6 seedlings were significantly higher than those of the other light nersery seedlings(P<0.05).So T6 is better to the growth of container seedlings of Fraxinus mandshurica.3,Exponential fertilization treatment is better not only for edible fungus waste medium seedlings,but also for turfy seedlings,compared with conventional fertilization and no fertilization,which showed high morphological index,root morphology and anatomic index,biomass accumulation and nutrient content.Seedlings growing in edible fungus waste showed higher root diameter and vascular diameter under exponential fertilization than those in no fertilizer and the other three treatments(P<0.05).Seedlings growing in turfy medium showed maximum of vascular diameter and primary root diameter in exponential fertilization than those in conventional fertilization,over 29.43%(P<0.05).So exponential fertilization could promote the growth of container seedlings of Fraxinus mandshurica effectively.As the volume ration is 20:1(medium:chicken manure volume),seedling morphological index,root morphology and anatomic index,biomass accumulation and nutrient content is significant higher than 30:1(P<0.05),but lower than those of the exponential fertilization.4,Root length,root surface area and baby roots of seedlings growing in nonwovens were significantly higher than those in plastic containers(P<0.05).The main root length in nonwovens was 65.24%higher than the plastic containers.And the number of lateral root in nonwovens was 80%higher than that in plastic containers(P<0.05).The root biomass in nonwovens was significantly 6.98%higher than that in plastic containers.but the root diameter in plastic contianers was 10.27%thicker than the nonwovens(P<0.05).The vascular diameter and cortical diameter in nonwovens were 12.83%and,12.28%;higher than those in plastic containers.Root tip meristematic zone cell death occurred in a large area in nonwovens,but not in plastic containers.,There were 35%more baby roots appered in nonwovens than in plastic containers(P<0.05). |
