Application And Research Of Virtual Reality(VR)in Space Design

Virtual Reality is absolutely one of the remarkable technologies,and it is recognized as an emerging technology by the world.VR brings awareness,immersion,interaction and imagination to the user,so it has been applied in different areas.VR also plays its unique role in spatial design.Though its ability in spatial design is not as great as its ability in others areas,its effect displayed in architectural design,interior design,landscape design and furniture design still cannot be ignored.VR makes up for the drawbacks of traditional forms in the new presentation and sense,and becomes the media among designer,works,constructor and customer.VR is a breakthrough made in the field of computer and science.In the paper,the application of VR in space is talked in five parts.The first part provides theory and professional knowledge for the whole paper by expounding the basic information like the background,feature and development of VR;in the second part,the needed equipment,system classification and three-used-machines during the application of VR in spatial design are described,and the needs for equipment are clarified;the third part provides technique support by talking the trend of VR at home and abroad;in the fourth part,through expounding the case of VR applied in architectural design,interior design and furniture design to present VR's excellent effect in spatial design;in the last part,the design of Suzhou Moon Bay Street is demonstrated through VR to present the imagination brought by VR.The application of VR in spatial design marks the revolution of design industry in the new era.VR is a product of high tech age,it also can be said that VR propels science's progress.Maybe VR still has many drawbacks,but it is still excellent.I believe VR will bring people a dreamlike and scientific future no matter in function,form or motion sensing,everyone would be as powerful as a superman.
