The surface texture can effectively improve the dynamic pressure lubrication performance of the mechanical face seal and reduce the friction between the friction pair surfaces.However,most of the current researches choose a single shape surface texture,and the research on multi-dimple surface texture mechanical face sealing performance is relatively less.It is expected that the excellent sealing properties can be achieved through the combination of different shape textures and the corresponding parameters.The relevant research results can provide reference for the innovative design and engineering application of surface texture.In this paper,a theoretical model of mechanical face seal performance textured with multi-shape surface texture combined with triangular and elliptical dimples is established,by using numerical simulation of texture depth hp for single triangular dimples texture,single elliptical dimples texture and triangular-elliptical multi-shape surface texture,sealing gap h0,texture area ratio Sp,moving ring rotation speed n,and triangular dimples and ellipses,the effects of texture parameters such as dimples deflection angles?and?on the sealing performance of mechanical faces were studied and the results were compared and analyzed,the differences of three different types of textured face seals were compared.The main conclusions are as follows:When the dimples depth hp is between 4 and 5?m,the bearing capacity F and the fluid film stiffness K both reach a maximum value,and the leakage amount Q is also at a low level.At the same dimples depth,multi-shape surface dimples texture dynamic lubrication performance is better.When the sealing gap is the same,the bearing capacity F and leakage Q of the multi-shape surface dimples texture are better than the other two dimples textures.When the sealing gap h0<4?m,the stiffness K of the multi-shape surface dimples texture is better than the other two dimples texture.The optimal sealing gap h0 for the three different types of dimples textures is 2?m.When the area ratio Sp<20%,the area ratio Sp has a large influence on the bearing capacity F.When the area ratio Sp?10%,the leakage amount Q of the three types of dimples textures is kept at a low level,and when the area ratio Sp>10%,the leakage amount Q abruptly increases.With the increase of the rotational speed n of the sealing moving ring,the bearing capacity F,the leakage amount Q and the stiffness K of the sealing face all show a linear increase trend.Under the same rotating speed,the dynamic pressure lubrication performance of the multi-shape surface dimples texture is better.When the deflection angle of triangle pore texture of?=15°,the deflection angle of ellipse pore texture?between 10°20°,triangle-elliptical shape surface dimples texture on lubrication performance of the seal face a significant increase.In ?=15°,the selection of ?is 10°,15°,30°,three deflection angle,study of three methods for configuration of A,B,C on the influence of multi-shape surface texture lubrication performance.It is found that the dynamic pressure lubrication properties of the triangular-elliptical multi-shape surface dimples texture are better than the single dimples texture in most cases.In the arrangement A,when the row number N of the triangular dimples texture is 6-8,the sealing performance parameter bearing capacity F,the leakage amount Q and the stiffness K all reach a superior level.In the arrangement B,when the number M of triangular textures is 6-8,the sealing performance parameter bearing capacity F,the leakage amount Q and the stiffness K all reach a superior level.In the arrangement C,the triangular dimples texture in the composite dimples texture has a greater influence on the dynamic lubrication performance of the sealing face than the elliptical dimples texture.
