Automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast is a new navigation technology that uses air-ground and air-air data links for air traffic surveillance and information transmission,and it is also the main surveillance method for future air traffic management.However,in practical applications,there is severe co-channel interference in the 1090 MHz channel which leads to the deterioration of the surveillance performance of 1090 ES data link system.In order to ensure the safe operation of the air traffic management system,the surveillance performance of 1090 ES data link system needs to be evaluated.The research contents of the paper are as follows:Firstly,in order to analyze the impact of the receiving range and aircraft density on the update interval(UI)of position report,a ground-based 1090 ES data link experimental system is developed.DF17 message is collected in Tianjin Binhai International Airport,then the UI is analyzed under different ranges and different density conditions.Studies show that: 1)The UI of position reports appears as multimodal distribution;2)As the receiving range and aircraft density increase,the 96% position report update interval in the receiving airspace also increases,but within the receiving range of the receiver,it meets the update interval requirements for position report of ground-based 1090 ES data link system specified by EUROCAE.Secondly,in order to analyze the impact of latency deviation on surveillance accuracy in the 1090 ES data link system,a latency estimation method is proposed.The paper first analyzes the source of latency in the transmission of message,then the standard deviation of the variable part of latency is calculated based on the collected position and velocity reports and high-precision GPS timestamps,and then the position error caused by latency deviation is obtained.Results show that among the analyzed 145 aircraft trajectory data,the estimated latency deviation of 124 aircraft trajectory data is less than 100 ms,and the corresponding position deviation is less than 15.43 meters at a cruising speed of 300 knots;There is also a small part of the received 1090 ES data that has large estimated position deviation,which will have a large impact on the surveillance accuracy of 1090 ES data link system.
