The cross-channel intersecting building is a special hydraulic structure with high complexity. This project has the following structural characteristics: the upper structure is shaped like an aqueduct—consists of two curved retaining walls and a bottom plate. The structure is integrated with the lower culvert structure, and the upper structure transports main channel water flow,as the foundation the bottom culvert discharges channel runoff. In the past studies on the dynamic response of aqueduct structure, the effect of water velocity in aqueduct was not considered. However,in the normal process of water transportation, the water in the aqueduct has a corresponding flow velocity. If the influence is ignored, the safety of the structure cannot be strictly guaranteed.By means of numerical simulation, the static and dynamic responses of this cross-channel intersecting building at different flow velocity are calculated and analyzed. The large-scale commercial finite element software Workbench and Fluent were used to conduct 3d modeling for the fluid domain and the solid domain respectively, and the results of the static and dynamic response of the structure at six different flow velocity were calculated.Through analysis and comparison, the following conclusions were obtained:(1)Without considering the seismic load, with the increase of the flow velocity in the upper structure, the lateral displacement and stress at each position of the structure will change correspondingly. The lateral deviation at the top of the water retaining wall on both sides is obvious, and the complicated phenomenon of stress concentration will take place to the junction of the left water retaining wall and the floor, and the stress value will increase significantly.(2)The mode of the structure is dominated by the bending mode.Under the action of water flow,it bears the bending combined vibration of multi-frequency components. The torsional resistance of the upper curved water retaining wall is poor, and it is easy to be destroyed when resisting the seismic deformation.(3)The water flow velocity in the aqueduct has no influence on the mode of vibration and natural vibration frequency of the structure.(4)The water flow velocity in the aqueduct has little influence on the static and dynamic response of the structure, and will not harm the safety and stability of the structure.
