Study On The Landscape Spatial Pattern Of Traditional Settlements In The North Of Taihu Lake Basin

Traditional settlement system is the basic human settlement environment in the agricultural period.It is also a unique regional landscape formed by people constantly adapting to and interfering with nature for production and life.The formation and evolution of traditional settlement fully demonstrate the interaction between human and the environment.Taking the traditional settlements in the northern part of Taihu Lake Basin as the research object,this paper tries to understand the traditional settlements landscape system from the perspective of landscape architecture as an elastic composite system under the combined action of natural base,water conservancy system,agricultural system and other factors.By using the methods of literature synthesis,field investigation and graphic analysis,the formation mode and spatial pattern characteristics of traditional settlements in the study area are analyzed and summarized,which provides a basis for the development and protection of traditional settlements landscape in the northern part of Taihu Lake Basin,and enriches the research content of settlements landscape.Specifically:Firstly,the study sorts out the historical process of the formation and development of traditional settlements in the northern part of Taihu Lake Basin before urbanization.At the same time,in order to reveal the correlation among the factors,this paper also gives a layered overview of the factors affecting the layout of traditional settlement landscape,and summarizes its impact on traditional settlement landscape.Secondly,the traditional settlements are divided into different zones according to the water control zoning.The integrated water conservancy and farmland fystem,settlement layout unit and typical town cases of traditional settlements in different regions are analyzed from macro to micro level.Through field investigation and case analysis,the spatial pattern characteristics of traditional settlements in different regions are summarized,and the intrinsic motivation of the formation of such characteristics is put forward.Finally,the practical experience of traditional artificial intervention in nature is summarized,from which we can learn the wisdom of traditional settlement spatial pattern construction,and provide ideas on how to protect the traditional settlement landscape in the northern area of Taihu Lake Basin under the background of urbanization process.
