Study On Evaluation Of Ecological Integrity Of Hydropower Project

In recent years,human production and living activities have posed a great threat to the natural ecosystem.The earth's ecosystem has been continuously subjected to various pressures from human activities during the natural succession process,resulting in the continuous loss of ecological integrity.As an emerging field,ecological integrity evaluation has a positive significance for promoting the structural stability and functional stability of regional ecosystems.This study conducted field surveys and investigations on plant community types,vegetation biomass,and species diversity in the assessment area of a pumped storage power station project,and combined with remote sensing image interpretation technology to study the vegetation type distribution and landscape pattern in the assessment area.On this basis,the relevant theory of landscape ecology is applied,and the ecological integrity of the evaluation area is evaluated by means of geographic information technology such as GIS.The selected index system model is used in specific project evaluation through quantitative methods,and compared with the results of the environmental impact assessment report to verify the consistency of the results and increase the reliability and scientificity of the evaluation.According to the quantitative grading assignment of each indicator,the comprehensive analysis and calculation obtained the ecosystem structure stability index of the evaluation area before construction is 4.86 and after construction is 4.56,indicating that the stability of the ecosystem structure has decreased to a certain extent;The index of ecosystem function stability in the evaluation area is 2 before construction and 2 after construction,indicating that the project construction has little effect on the ecosystem function stability.The comprehensive index of ecological integrity before construction is 6.82 and 6.56 after construction.The ecological integrity index is reduced but the ecological integrity before and after construction is still at the same level,which is a "better" grade,which indicates that the project construction has reduced the degree of ecosystem integrity.Within affordable range.Relevant management personnel should increase environmental protection efforts,formulate corresponding restoration measures,and ensure that the project construction and the ecological environment are properly coordinated.By constructing a hierarchical evaluation system model to quantify the qualitative problems of evaluation,it provides technical support for the ecological integrity evaluation of hydropower project construction projects.
