4A zeolite is a synthetic inorganic material with regular pore structures.As an inorganic material,4A zeolite can be filled into the polymers to prepare composite materials.However,4A zeolite contains a large number of hydroxyl groups and is easy to aggregate in the polymer,which greatly limits its application in polymer materials.Therefore,the surface modification of 4A zeolite is particularly important for the preparation of new composite materials.In this paper,ZEO-A and ZEO-B were obtained by modifying 4A zeolite with two self-made coupling agents(silane coupling agent A and aluminate coupling agent B).BAS-g-ZEO was obtained by grafting acrylates(butyl acrylate,methyl methacrylate)and styrene onto 4A zeolite.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),thermogravimetric(TG),X-ray diffraction(XRD),particle size,contact angle,activation,oil absorption and viscosity were tested.The results showed that the graft modified 4A zeolite was better than the coupling agent modified 4A zeolite.The modification effect of silane coupling agent A is better than that of aluminate coupling agent BZEO/SSBR,ZEO/SSBR-A,ZEO/SSBR-B and BAS-g-ZEO/SSBR composites were prepared by filling the modified and unmodified 4A zeolite into SSBR.Vulcanization property,mechanical property,heat-resistant oxygen aging property,rubber processing analysis(RPA)and scanning electron microscope(SEM)were tested.The results showed that the dispersion of 4 phr 4A zeolite in SSBR was the better,the curing rate of the composite was the fastest and the mechanical properties were the best.Meanwhile,the composite material has the best heat-resistant oxygen aging performance by filling 2~4 phr.In the same condition,the dispersion of the modified 4A zeolite in SSBR was strengthened and the performance of the composite was improved,among which the comprehensive performance of BAS-g-ZEO/SSBR was the best.ZEO/PP,ZEO/PP-A,ZEO/PP-B and BAS-g-ZEO/PP composites were prepared by filling the modified and unmodified 4A zeolite into PP.Mechanical properties,vicat softening temperature,melt flow rate(MFR),differential scanning calorimeter(DSC)and polarizing microscope(PLM)were tested.The results showed that the dispersion of 2 phr 4A zeolite in SSBR was the better.Meanwhile,4A zeolite played the role of nucleating agent is conducive to the crystallization of PP,and the composite material had the best mechanical properties,heat resistance and processability.In the same condition,the compatibility of modified 4A zeolite in PP was strengthened and the performance of composite material was improved,among which the comprehensive performance of BAS-g-ZEO/PP was the best.
