Cigarette paper is mainly consists of cellulose,fillers and propellants,cigarette paper cellulose was involved in pyrolysis processes during cigarette burning.Now,the methods of cellulose pyrolysis including thermal pyrolysis,microwave pyrolysis,catalytic pyrolysis,there are more research reports of thermal pyrolysis and catalytic pyrolysis applied to cigarette burning.Organic acid salt is conventional propellants in cigarette paper,which is used in an amount about 0.5%to 3%by weight of cigarette paper.Propellants can affect smoke flavor,burning rate and pyrolysis products of cigarette.So,the study of metal salt propellants affect behavior of cellulose pyrolysis,microporous structure on cigarette paper and CO delivery in mainstream smoke has become an important research direction of the tobacco industry.This article is studied by adjusting types of cellulose,different types of catalyst,the ratio of cellulose and other factors in the cigarette paper,Effects of cigarette paper cellulose catalytic pyrolysis behavior and catalytic pyrolysis kinetic by above formula factors of cigarette paper,screening of metal salt catalyst with useful catalytic action to cellulose pyrolysis,prepared cigarette paper which has been added different kinds of metal salt,To illustrate the possible reason of the change in CO delivery from the angle of metal salt catalytic pyrolysis porogenic on cigarette paper.The influence of cigarette paper porogen characteristics of different metal salt catalyzed cigarette paper cellulose pyrolysis process and to the influence of the diffusion of CO in mainstream smoke,and further study of the mechanism of the catalytic pyrolysis of cellulose in the cigarette paper.The research showed that,different types of propellants have great influence in cellulose pyrolysis rate of cigarette paper,metal salt catalyzed cellulose pyrolysis porogenic can affect porous structure of cigarette paper and CO in mainstream smoke.The CO in mainstream smoke of cigarette significantly reduced by cigarette paper which has been added potassium citrate,however,The CO in mainstream smoke of cigarette significantly increased by cigarette paper which has been added zinc acetate,calcium acetate,calcium chloride and zinc chloride.The main study contents of this paper are as follows:(1)High-temperature baking experiments have been used to simulate the combustion process state near the char line of cigarette paper,cigarette paper was baked at a constant temperature 20 min at 250?;The diffusion rate and air permeability instrument have been used to test the diffusion rate and air permeability of cigarette paper before(after)baking,characterized the diffusion properties and permeability near the char line of cigarette paper during pyrolysising Indirect.TG-DSC thermal analysis instrument have been used to characterize the variation in behavior of cigarette paper cellulose pyrolysis and and kinetic parameters of activation energy,the methods of mercury to pore structure have been used to characterize and obtain the variation of pore volume within 0.1?200 ?m pore size range to cigarette paper before(after)baking.The methods of scanning electron microscopy(SEM)to pore structure have been used to characterize and obtain the variation of pore structure parameters in the incompletely and completely pyrolyzed area of the cigarette paper,for example,the number of micropores,equivalent aperture,pore area,the average of pore area,the rate of pore and so on.The FS300 fiber analyze instrument have been used to characterize and obtain the variation of the average length of long fiber,the quality of fiber with average width,the ratio of long and short fiber,kink index,crimp index,the rate of decline with the average length of long fiber.(2)In order to explore the effects of different formulations on cigarette paper cellulose pyrolysis,based on the formulation adjustments in different type of cellulose,ratio of long and short cellulose,particle size and content,ratio of the K/Na of accelerant and different type of accelerant on cigarette paper,developing different formulations of the cigarette paper,to investigate the influence of cigarette paper cellulose pyrolysis behavior and kinetic parameters by these different formulations,so as to provide data with reference to the tobacco fibers in cigarette paper applications.(3)In order to investigate the effects of different metal salt catalyst on the pyrolysis behavior of cigarette paper and the delivery of CO in mainstream smoke,the method of Thermogravimetry(TG)has been used on fiber pyrolysis which was soaked by different kinds of metal salt solution;Further investigate the effects of the behavior of cigarette paper cellulose pyrolysis and and kinetic parameters by metal salt propellants,by measuring diffusion rate and air permeability of metal salt cigarette paper before(after)baking,mainstream and sidestream smoke data of cigarette;the methods of mercury,scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and FS300 fiber analysis have been used to characterize the influence between hole structural changes in cigarette paper and the delivery of tar,CO in mainstream smoke.
