Since the 20th century,with the continuous propelling of economic and trade globalization,international division of labor and trade pattern has undergone tremendous changes.As an industry related to the people's livelihood,agriculture has gradually transitioned from the division of labor between the industries based on comparative advantages to the global value chain division,becoming a very important part of the international trading system.Since the fruit is the third largest agricultural products which is second only to food and vegetables,its importance is self-evident.According to FAO statistics,China has become the world's largest fruit cultivation and production country,but its export amount accounts for low share of the world,and the fruit industry faces with many serious problems,such as single export structure,fruit quality unqualified,low value-added fruit and low-end status in the global value chain,which has become an obstacle to China's fruit industry and even an important factor in agricultural development.To this end,this paper regards the global value chain as a perspective to explore the factors and development path impact to upgrade the China's fruit industry.First of all,analyze export status of China's fruit industry(including fresh fruit and its processed products)by data of trade of the classification of fruit,calculate the export technology complexity(EXPY)of world's 29 representative countries or regions to determine the Status in the fruit industry global value chain and compare the result,finding that the export structure of China's fruit industry is unbalanced,and it accounts for a small proportion of the world total fruit export,products value-added is low and so in the above,China's fruit industry is in the downstream position of the global value chain.Secondly,based on the previous theoretical model,this paper constructs a measurement model studying the factors influencing the global value chain upgrading,selects trade and production data of 29 representative countries from Year 2002 to 2014,and finally verify through empirical test that the human capital and level of social service and technological development have a positive and significant positive effect on the promotion of status of a country's global value chain.In addition,the paper selects the domestic wine leading enterprise-Changyu Group as a case,analyzes its business path in100 years,and further draws the path of its global value chain upgrading,including training,innovating,strict controlling of products' quality,building brand,improving marketing channel,and then expanding the industrial chain.Finally,according to the analysis of the status quo,the results of empirical analysis and case analysis combined with the reality of China,the paper puts forward the measures and suggestions to promote the status of the global value chain of China's fruit industry.This paper creatively explores the way of global value chain upgrading in the fruit industry,the sub-industry of agriculture,which not only expands the research scope of global value chain,but also solves the locked low-end state of our country's value chain and accelerates the fruit Industry and even the modernization of agriculture.
