| Eco-tourism has gradually emerged and become a mainstream of tourism industry in recent years, so researches on ecotourism increase correspondingly. As a strategic choice for regional economic development, the theory and practice of industrial clusters on eco-tourism industry have been paid more and more attention.However, the focus of research at home and abroad is on general tourism industry cluster. There are not many research results for the eco-tourism industry cluster,whose formation mechanism is the interaction between internal and external factors in the transformation from enterprise agglomeration to enterprise cluster. The analysis of the formation mechanism not only broadens the research scope of tourism industry cluster, but also provides theoretical and operational suggestions for the development of eco-tourism industry cluster, so as to promote local tourism economy and make tourism economy drive local economy as a whole. This paper was divided into five chapters. Firstly, it analyzed the background and significance of this paper and sorted out the literatures and research achievements of ecological tourism industry cluster. Secondly, it defined the connotation and nature of industrial cluster,tourism industry cluster and eco-tourism industry cluster and constructed relevant theoretical basis. Then, on the basis of summing up relevant research achievements at home and abroad, it analyzed four types of the formation mechanism of eco-tourism industry cluster, including self-strengthening mechanism, cooperative competition mechanism, innovation mechanism and development mechanism under external economy, and built a corresponding model. And taking Jiexi County as an example, it analyzed the formation mechanism and construction model of eco-tourism industry cluster.
