The Use Of Video-based Health Education In The Continued Care Of Children With Non-acute Asthma

Purpose:To improve the way of health education,which based on information technology and remind the new way into the health education,then validate the new health education if it can improve the pulmonary function?develop compliance and quality of life,and reduce the recurrence rate among children with non acute asthma compared with the traditional health education.Methods:From January to September in 2015 years,children with non acute asthma in our hospitals'emergency?outpatient and ward had been accorded to the order of treatment for each object number.Then,those children had divided into control group and observation group,through used the random number table method.The observation group and the control group adopted different methods of health education for the children and their families,to explain the matters needing attention in the home care of children with acute asthma,health education matters in the two groups were consistent,besides methods.The control group used oral+manipulation demonstration+health education care booklets for the children and their parents before they leaving hospital,while the observation group applied the information technology based on the control group in health education.The intervention time was lasted half year.The evaluation index including lung function that is the first second forced vital capacity FEV1)and peak expiratory flow(PEF),corticosteroids inhaled compliance and foot massage compliance,St Georges Respiratory Questionnaire(SGRQ)score,the average number of days of hospitalization and emergency.SPSS17.0 statistical software was used for statistical description,t-test,chi square test,ANOVA and nonparametric test.Results:84 cases were included in the study,the control group and the observation group,each with a total of 42 cases,all objects completed the trial,no losed or reached.After half year of intervention,compared with the control group,scores of FEV1?PEF in the observation group were higher(P=0.000,P=0.001),inhaled corticosteroids compliance and foot massage compliance was significantly better(X~2=19.302,P=0.000;X~2=13.804,P=0.000),St Georges Respiratory Questionnaire(SGRQ)total score higher(t=9.006,P=0.000),emergency number less,(t=3.032,P=0.003),and the average hospitalization time was no statistically significant difference(t=1.611,P=0.111);compared with baseline,two groups of FEV1,PEF score and SGRQ score were improved than before,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Health education meido based on information technology can effectively improve the children'pulmonary function and compliance and quality of life,what's more,reduce the recurrence rate.This method has good practicability,suitable for children as a special groups,which is also a good health education way for children with non acute asthma home nursing,worthy of promotion.
