Planar slot array antennas are widely used in manufacturing industry of aerospace vehicles.However, the manufacturing of planar slot array antennas is very difficult. Therefore, this paper has designed a complete set of processing method to improve the qualification rate in manufacturing of planar slot array antennas. In order to design this set of processing technique,we carry out study for the following four parts:(1)Study on the factors affecting the electric performance of antenna. For solving the problem that the machining distortion of plane array antenna will seriously influence on the performance of the antenna, the model formula for directivity diagram of the plane slot array antenna is calculated by the mathematical model. According to the formula, the influence of flatness error are studied so as to achieve the purpose of reducing the structural deformation.(2) Study on manufacturing technique of antenna components. To solve the problem that the whole manufacturing process is difficult, a set of reasonable structural separation process is designed after analyzing the antenna structure. In this way, the complex structure is split into multiple simple parts. Then, manufacturing processes of various parts is studied in-depth to improve the processing quality of parts and reduce the difficulty of processing.(3) Theoretical study on welding method. According to the problem that the quality of vacuum brazing is hard to control in the manufacturing process of planar slot array antenna, the influence of temperature on the stress and strain in the welding process is analyzed by using the analysis software, optimizing the welding parameters and reducing the welding deformation.(4) Study on vacuum brazing technology of antenna. Aiming at solving the problem of considerable deformation of vacuum brazing, the technique is designed by studying the influence factors of the thermal deformation of vacuum brazing. Moreover, according to the welding deformation, the special fixture is designed to reduce welding deformation, improve the vacuum brazing welding technique and improve the quality of welding.Throughout the research on the processing techniques of the plane slot array antenna, the research work of the actual products in the project is completed. At the same time, according to the project, the valuable planar slot array antenna manufacturing experience will be summed up.Ultimately, the valuable experience will be applied to processing other products of the same type, which is a breakthrough for manufacturing industry in this regard.
