Space-Time Evolution Of Urbanization In Guangdong Province And Research Of Its Coupling Relationship With Economic Development

Urbanization is the driving force of long-term economic development,a large number of rural population moved to cities,urban space expanded;at the same time to develop secondary and tertiary industries,rapid economic growth,social and cultural construction has improved steadily.By 2015,China's economic development slowdown,seeking new development momentum has become a problem economists concern in the context of opportunities and challenges.Guangdong is China's reform and opening pilot and cutting-edge,and the differences in regional economic development in the province of large,is a microcosm of China's economic blueprint.As well as space-time levels of economic development in Guangdong Province,the evolution of the level of urbanization,the coupling relationship between the two,with urban efficiency study and make recommendations to the topic of this article is to solve the problem.In this paper,weighting method in-depth study 1985--2014 city in Guangdong Province the level and temporal evolution of the level of economic development,with the coupling coordination degree of correlation between the two,using data envelopment analysis of urban efficiency,based on the theory of regional economics,economic geography,spatial economics,econometrics,using entropy method,mean variance.Concluded as follow:(1)Measuring the level of urbanization from the demographic,economic,spatial,social and environmental dimensions,and we can find that the Pearl River Delta has a far higher score than the surrounding cities.Guangdong Province has a urbanization significant differences in the quality of cities.Guangzhou and Shenzhen as the formation structure of the two-center,the spillover effect of the difference in Shenzhen is stronger than Guangzhou.As for the relationship among dimensions,population growth bring the expansion space,while social progress and economic development promote each other.(2)Measuring the level of economic development in three dimensions,including the economies of scale,economic quality and economic structure.With the push of industrialization,the coupling relationship between urbanization and economy replace a inverted “U” sharped curve.Starting from the potential for sustainable development,the evaluation results in Guangdong's economic development system show a significant imbalance in the region.There has been economic development lags behind most of the city's urbanization level,indicating that Guangdong Province in the development process are mostly of extensive growth and economic spillover effects between cities is unlikely.(3)Measuring urbanizing efficiency of Guangdong Province 21 cities,finding more and more cities to achieve DEA effective.The eastern/western wings and underdeveloped mountainous part of the cities can achieve overall efficiency of 1 or close to 1,reflecting its economic backwardness may be due to lack of investment,there is also an effective investment,increase their city,and encouraging the transfer of agricultural population to urban areas;after consideration of the environmental pollution of the negative output,in addition to other cities in the province of Zhuhai urbanization decreased efficiency compared to when not to consider,there is a redundancy factor inputs and technological progress invalid question.
