Reproduction And Imagination: A Research On The Female Images Of ?Southern People Weekly?Cover Figures(2004-2016)

In this paper,we use the method of word frequency analysis and qualitative analysis to analyze the female image of 36 characters in the magazine from the beginning of 2004 to 2016,and focus on the female image lineage depicted in this journal,and then explore the narrative strategy of media discourse,and analyze the existence of gender awareness.Through the analysis of the three aspects of the female cover of ?Southern People Weekly? from the keywords,the hierarchical relationship and the storyline,it is found that in the word frequency analysis of key words,the overall number of reports on women is limited,and reports are confined to the field of entertainment and politics,in the image of female characters,"Southern People Weekly" preference for young,love performance or engaged in acting career,eager to return to life but can not escape the scandal of a group of women,committed to shaping its image positive,positive side of the mood.In the aspect of the hierarchical relationship,the narrative perspective and so on,it is found that the magazine mainly uses the method of combining the inner and outer narrative focus to try to fully reproduce the female image,try to make the objective record,But still inevitably the "other" as a measure of women in the family,career,social aspects of the success of the standard;In the story of the narrative techniques and other aspects of the analysis found that the?Southern People Weekly?on the cover of female characters described narrative techniques changeable,the cross structure of the crossbar makes the article look interesting and material,good use of literary narrative way to create conflict,the use of dialogue scene reproduction,the use of a wide range of layout elements,while observing the "given culture" of the narrative rules and thus summed up the classification of the four typical female image: aura under the entertainment female star,the sonorous rose under geopolitics,the knowledge of women in public issues and Under the major social event of ordinary women,among the four female types,the magazine's attention to entertainment women is much higher than the other three categories of women,showing a tendency to pan-entertainment.Even the ?Southern People Weekly? deconstructs the image of traditional female housewives,but we still can not help but think from a gender perspective,what has led to such a magazine that advertises serious political affairs is far more enthusiastic about entertainment women than women's political status,it summarizes the reasons why the gender order is difficult to change,the prevailing consumption culture and the commercial interests are driven by these three reasons.
