The Management And Complementation Of Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) Extension Of OSPF

With the rapid development of network techology,wireless network popularizes.Mobile Ad Hoc Network(MANET)is a new kind of network,which is the main trend of the future network.Mobile Ad Hoc Network is a wireless and mobile communication network,which is consist of wireless recieve and transmit set.Based on practice project,we will realize the control and management of the route.Open Shortest Path First(OSPF)protocol is a widely used routing protocol.The extension of OSPF for mobile ad hoc network combines the OSPF routing area with the MANET routing area so that can make the overhead lower.The Simple Network Management Protocol(SNMP)is applied for managing the route.The specific contents are summarized as follow.The control and management of route accordding to the mixed routing is referred to the OSPF-MDR protocol.OSPF-MDR protocol is based on OSPF version 3 and add a new kind of wireless interface.The SNMP version 3.is developed to manage the route and SNMP version 3 is the latest management protocol.Firstly,the the theory of OSPF and MANET network is introduced and the extension of OSPF for MANET is developed.Then realize the OSPF-MDR protocol through MDR selection algorithm,Hello packet,interface and neighbor state machine and Link State Advertisement flooding and so on.Next this paper compares the OSPF-MDR protocol with other extensions of OSPF such as OSPF-MPR and OSPF-OR.According to the comparision,OSPF-MDR protocol has better performance in scalability and flexibility,which has the lowest overhead.Secondly,SNMP is used to manage and collect information about the radio station.At this part,the basic SNMP theory is introduced and the SNMP performance is promoted by making new MIB(management information basis).SNMP version 3 has two agent protocols and they are SMUX protocol and AgentX protocol.Through the requry and comparision,we choose the AgentX protocol to complete the project.Finally,the OSPF-MDR protocol is improved to manage the route and develops the SNMP to collect the information about the wireless radio station,and the infiormation is made of parameters and location information.This paper realizes all the work on the Linux plaform.This paper optimize the Quagga by writing new code and configure documents.We can get rout talbe rapidly based on the OSPF-MDR protocol.MIB is the core of getting informations because the parameters can be reflected by the OID wich is name according to the MIBs.
