The recent years have witnessed the rapid development of mobile terminals,hardware performance and communication network technology.This has led to extensive attention drawn to the studies regarding the application of mobile-based Augmented Reality,making the Mobile Augmented Reality one of the hottest topics in the field.The implementation of Mobile Augmented Reality involves a key technology,i.e.,recognition and tracking of Markers.Benefiting from increasingly powerful graphic image recognition algorithm,the target recognition technology has become more and more mature,and has become important research point and application point in Mobile Augmented Reality.Nowadays,the target recognition technology which is often involved in Mobile Augmented Reality is divided into two categories:single target recognition and multi-target recognition.The carriers of the target recognition objects can be any common object or any combination of common objects and surroundings in our daily life,and they usually appear in the scene which contains multiple targets.Considering of practicality and better user experience,this paper based on multi-target recognition technology.As a mainstream Mobile Augmented Reality development toolkit,Vuforia performs well in the functionality and stability of target recognition.it's style of achieving Augmented Reality is divided into local recognition and cloud recognition.The local recognition supports multi-target recognition well while the cloud recognition behaves in the opposite way.Analysing of two recognition ways and considering software performance optimization,an improved Mobile Augmented Reality implementation method which based on multi-target recognition technology is proposed in this paper,and then,the problem of storage optimization in Mobile Augmented Reality is studied.The advantages of this new method lies in:(1)Vuforia can be used to track and recognize markers,and to achieve multi-target recognition with good stability.(2)Completing the rendering of the scene with Unity3D.Compared with traditional OpenGL ES,Unity3D performs better with integrating many excellent features such as more powerful Rendering features,better cross-platform compatibility and visual development supported,and better interactive effects of virtual and reality can be obtained.(3)Server technology is introduced in the study of the paper,by which the advantages of cloud recognition can be learned and cloud storage can be implemented.(4)Dynamic loading technology is introduced into the study of the paper,by which memory footprint can be greatly optimized and dynamic update of software version can be achieved,what's more,software usability has been improve and user experience has been enhanced.With the increasing attention attached to Augmented Reality,the growing demand for user experience,the rapid popularization of high-performance intelligent terminals,the growing population/number of practitioners in the Mobile Augmented Reality industry,the content and the proposed method of this study provide practical and academic implications.
