A Study On The Issue Construction And Social Effect Of New Media Events

New media events in China have been maintaining frequent situation and high levels of operation,embodying the contemporary China social problems and forming a specific field.Based on the Frame Theory,the Issue Setting theory,the Content Analysis Method and the Text Analysis Method,this study,taking "Xu Yuyu Incident" in 2016 as an example,selecting the news report texts from the People's Daily,the People's Daily Online,the Surging News,the Surging News of Sina Weibo,the Yimeng Evening News about the "Xu Yuyu Incident" as the research sample,analyzes the reporting framework and discourse system from the number of reports,the title of the reports,the space of the reports on different media platforms about the "Xu Yuyu Incident",This study focuses on the media agenda setting of such new media events and the behavior patterns of actors in the framework and discourse perspective,the relationship between traditional media and new media,media construction and media resonance,media diffusion,and the rise from extreme cases to the social impact of the phenomenon of public opinion and the mechanism of action.This study also sorts out the social conditions of the event;sees the uniqueness of the event and the general nature.It further explores the impact of judicial reform while exercising the right to know,the right to express and the right to supervise in the media communication activities from the constitutional level.Through the reflection,this study thus offers some valuable suggestions for the media to play a better role in realizing the social public value.It is found that there exists similar reporting framework among different media platforms in the process of reporting on Xu Yuyu,such as between traditional and new media,between elite media and local media.Meanwhile,through the analysis of Xu Yuyu's comments from the Internet users,it is also found that the reporting framework of the news media has a strong consistency with the keywords of Internet users' online comments,which,to some extent,illustrates there is a certain relationship between the comments of the Internet users and the news media reports.In the process of analysis,It is also discovered that there are many problems among the news media themselves in the process of reporting on the Xu Yuyu,such as: the explanation ambiguity of basic causal relationship,the ethical dilemmas in the process of media report,the emotion consumption in the media report framework,the phenomena of deviation of the incident itself of the Internet users in the process of commenting.Through the reflection on the incident,this study provides some appropriate recommendations for the news media to better exercise the rights conferred by the Constitution,the Internet users to better participate,the public value to maximize,and the social effects to optimize.
