The Study On Contemporary British Archives Education Mode

The development of archives business depends on the construction of contingent of archivists,the development of information technology,the expansion of archives requirements and the adjustment of industrial structure,which puts forward higher requirements on the quality of archivists.Under the new situation,only by deepening the reform and innovating constantly in file education can we continuously promote the development of archives.Clear positioning of archives education,strengthening the dominance of the government,innovating educational mechanisms and exploring new platforms for education are of great significance to enhancing the vigor and vitality of archival education and actively promoting the development of archives.After a hundred years of development and evolution of archival education in China,it has gradually become more mature.However,there are still some shortcomings,the teaching model is too single,the uneven distribution of archives education resources,and the problem of inadequate emphasis on continuing education gradually surfaced.With the continuous expansion of the demand for archives information,the society put forward new and higher requirements for the quality of archivists,which has posed a severe challenge to archival education.On the other hand,the reform and opening up and the readjustment of the industrial structure.If we want to make the development of archival research in our country continuously and break the old shackles,we must continue to develop education and continuously export archivists.At the same time,the staff who have already begun to engage in the professional work of archives should step up their continuous education so that archivists can keep pace with the world's archival studies and will not be eliminated by the times.Archival education in Europe started its course from the French Revolution and has a long history.As a country characterized by archival education and a relatively complete system,Britain,through its continual archives education,continues to transfer talents to the archival research team,making the UK's archival science study stand out in recent years,especially in the study of interdisciplinary community archives and archives On the world's leading position.Therefore,the author will focus on the theme of the British archives education mode in this essay,and introduce the unique archives education in the UK and analyze its advantages,disadvantages and development trends,and analyze the places worthy of reference from China's archival education.The first part of the dissertation will briefly introduce the research status of this topic both at home and abroad at present,including an overview of the archives education in British universities,the education and training of the British Archives,and the training and development of the British and Irish Association of Archivists.The second part will elaborate the concrete status quo of the three kinds of education modes respectively.Among them,in order to analyze the archives education in the UK more persuasively,I will use the three Aberystwyth universities in Wales,University of Liverpool and University of London,Representative universities,for example,show the profiles of archives education in British universities in terms of curriculum setup,academic system,faculty and employment prospects respectively.The third part is the analysis of the characteristics of British file education,analysis of malpractices and analysis of future development trends.In this part,I will analyze in detail the specialization,socialization,popularization and internationalization of British archives education.I will analyze the shortcomings in current development and the trend of its future development.The last part is the enlightenment of British archival education on the development of Chinese archives education.This includes the development of combination of face-to-face lessons and practical courses,the acceptance of overseas students and the academic exchanges with overseas scholars.The target of education is clear and specific,and the level of social education is strong,etc.
