The Trend Of Political Communication Research From The International Perspective&An Analysis Of Political Communication Research In China

This paper does a detailed research on 242 papers published in <Political Communication> within 10 years.The research focuses on five aspects,that is,paper's distributed situation,author's workplace,research topics,research method,paper which is mostly referenced as well as key words.From the research,we can see that the study of international political communication keeps pace with international political ecology,and it shows interactive and positive sample state,which is characterized by the following six aspects:1)the issues about election are still important;2)the focus changing to the interaction between media and politics in the process of political information transmission;3)partisan news and political polarization took its way;4)intertwined with a variety of research methods;5)increasingly focused on citizens' media using and voting behavior.Looking back to China,domestic political communication research has formed a series of research topics with Chinese characteristics,namely political communication theory,political information,public opinion and propaganda,political images,political communication and new media.However,it is hard to say that domestic research has been taken in a systematically way.From the perspective of research methods,speculative method has been adopted by domestic scholars,in which way a scientific and systematic research method can hardly be formed.From this point of view,the construction of a clear problem domain,so as to develop a series of systematic methods on that basis is the main direction.
