Ultra-wideband pulsed ground penetrating radar(GPR)is widely used in geological survey,road and bridge quality inspection,pipeline detection,and archaeological,military and other fields because of its fast detection speed,high loss,high resolution,real-time imaging and anti-interference ability.The transmitter subsystem of UWB radar is one of the most important components in the whole ground penetrating radar system.Its performance parameters directly affect the resolution of ground penetrating radar and the depth of detection.Based on the research of pulsed ultra-wideband ground penetrating radar transmitter hardware system and high-speed pulse generation technology,two different types of ground penetrating radar transmitters are designed,which have important engineering significance for the development of ground penetrating radar technology.In this dissertation,In this paper,the following work is done in the course of research:1.This dissertation focuses on the high frequency pulse signal generation technology of the ground penetrating radar transmitter and the avalanche effect theory of the avalanche transistor,and improves the traditional pulse generating circuit based on the avalanche tube to produce the nanosecond pulse which can be used for the 300 MHz ground penetrating radar Ground penetrating radar transmitter,and made a functional simulation on the Pspice and carried out circuit performance test.2.Based on the study of the pulse generation principle of the field effect transistor and the improvement of the waveform front of the SRD tube,the dissertation proposes to combine the respective advantages of the FET and the SRD tube to design a picosecond pulse ground penetrating radar transmitter that can be used in the 1GHz ground penetrating radar,and made a functional simulation on the Pspice and carried out circuit performance test.3.A large number of parameter comparison experiments were carried out on the design of the nanosecond pulse ground penetrating radar transmitter based on avalanche tube,and the experimental data were analyzed comprehensively.Then,the nanosecond ground penetrating radar transmitter is used in the GPR machine to carry out the whole system performance verification experiment,carried out a series of field detection test and analysis.
