With the rapid popularization of the Internet and the advancement of the information process, IDC is taking a more and more important role in the social and economic development. The construction cost and maintenance management of IDC have attracted more attention. At present, modularization and integration have gradually become the mainstream trend in the development of IDC. In the modular IDC, the integration of power and environment monitoring has become a challenge for its construction and management. The main content of this paper is to propose the innovative networking methods and solutions and accomplish the design and implementation of power and environment monitoring systems for IDC.This paper analyzes the five-layer architecture of the Internet of things. Then, this paper summarizes the elements and significance of the IDC power and environment monitoring systems, and points out that the future development of IDC and its monitoring system.The design and implementation of IDC power and environment monitoring systems has been developed based on the IoT architecture.The hardware is composed of two levels: one integrated monitoring gateway and several monitoring modules through the CAN-BUS network.This two-level architecture design enables us to achieve module splicing and flexible deployment easily as well as rapid troubleshooting.Corresponding software applications are developed for the establishment of sensor networks, the collection of sensor data and other functions. In addition, the system provides users with a web interface to master the current state of IDC conveniently.This paper introduces some specific implementation of the power and environment monitoring system, including the configuration software,detailed database design and the physical hardware connection diagram.Also, this paper shows the main interface of system and carries out a series of tests for the key function of the power and environment monitoring system in the laboratory environment. The results show that the proposed system in this paper is able to offer automatic and intelligent support for IDC management, thus significantly reducing the cost of labor and operation in IDC.
