With the continuous development of Multi-beam Bathymetry technology, the Multi-beam Bathymetry System improve the the demand for hardware platforms, such as larger amount of data, higher transmission rates. So it puts forward higher demand for storage rate and storage capacity of storage system of Multi-beam Bathymetry System.According to these requirements, this paper designs a SATA II interface hard disk storage system based on Altera-FPGA and ARM.Design works use FPGA to achieve receiving, displaying and transmitting data.ARM kernel achieve storage data. The main contents researched in this paper can be generally divided into three parts.(1)The storage subsystem of hardware circuit analysis its requirement,Complete circuit board schematic design,PCB design and welding tests based on overall design, including power modules, signal receiving and processing module, communication module, displaying and controling module,FPGA module,OMAPL138 module and its peripheral circuit module.(2)FPGA logic circuits development completes NIOS II soft-core processors which based on QSYS,IP core design of real-time-displaying which based on ADV7123,logic functional modules of CY7B933 which based on Hotlink(High Speed Optical Transceiver Link)protocol, transmission circuit logic which based on UPP protocol and communication circuit logic design.(3)The embedded software developed in this paper implements data-display which based on uC/GUI,finishes ARM software of storing data into the hard disk, realizes the received data to display and received data to storage in the hard disk. All contents designed in this paper, including hardware design and embedded software development, are completely tested by function simulation and system debugging. It Verify the stability and reliability of the whole system works.
