As standard of living rises with economic development,travel is becoming a more popular way of life,allowing people to experience different cultures and address the stress in life.As the tourism industry flourishes,multimedia programming covering tourism topics will become more prominent.Further,the advent of new media outlets is opening open new possibilities in terms of ways of expression and distribution.Although the domestic tourism industry has been experiencing robust growth,multimedia programming on tourism only offer simplistic,shallow,introductory materials.The Author believes that superficial tourism programming only result in superficial stimulus,thereby only serve as programming with which the audience cannot relate.Through experience studying and travelling in Canada,the Author produces programs with indepth insight into the Canadian society and Chinese communities in Canada.The program is divided into three parts:(i)Education,(ii)Culinary arts,(iii)and Chinese communities in Canada.Through these different angles,the program provides elements with which audience can relate,and ultimately driven additional demands in the tourism industry.
