Academic evaluation is very important to improve research level and scientific development.Fair academic evaluation is not only beneficial to academic innovation, but also has certain incentive for the expansion of scientific research team.Currently, the popular method of academic evaluation is citation analysis,it has been derived from many other indicators to measure academic influence, such as the Impact Factor,H index, and W index. However, there are many drawbacks in traditional academic evaluation methods, such as time lag and citing skewness. With the coming of the Web 2.0 era,on the one hand, the form of academic achievement is increasingly rich;on the other hand, the expression of academic influence is not limited to being cited, but also by being browse, discussion, reporting and other actions. The traditional evaluation indicators have been unable to measure the impact of academic results fully.Altmetrics came into being.Altmetrics has attracted many scholars' attention, but most of research focused on the introduction of Altmetrics concepts and tools, empirical research is insufficient. In this paper,Altmetric Attention Score and Mendeley readers are selected to study the correlation between them and traditional citation index, exploring whether there is a discrepancy in the discipline.By the analysis of the data set, this paper also focuses on the relationship between higher Altmetric Attention Score and higher cited number. This paper tries to explore whether the paper with higher Altmetric Attention Score is more likely to obtain more citations. The study found that there is a significant correlation between Altmetrics and citation, and there are significant differences between disciplines. The correlation between Altmetric Attention Score and citation counts is significant weakness. There is no significant correlation between high Altmetric Attention Score and high citation count, while the higher Altmetric Attention Score paper in some disciplines is more likely to obtain a higher number of citations.Based on the above findings,we find that the Altmetric Attention Score is not the same as the traditional one.In future, according to the subject characteristic of academic achievement, the Altmetric Attention Score can be combined with the traditional indicators to construct a comprehensive measurement system, and provide a broader and more depth of vision for academic research and institutions.
