With the rapid development of information and communication technology,the limited spectrum resources have restricted the development of communication technology,cognitive radio technology can enable the nodes opportunistically access to the authorized spectrum channel which is in the idle state,which can effectively improve the utilization rate of frequency spectrum,so it is considered to be an effective means to solve the spectrum resources increasingly tensing.The cognitive radio network MAC protocol which is regarded as the key technology in cognitive radio network,is mainly responsible for cognitive nodes doing not interfere with licensed users to intelligently access to licensed spectrum channel.On the premise of the common control channel,this paper focuses on the research and design of MAC protocol in different types,finally on the NS3 network simulation platform,we simulate and research the performance of MAC protocol based on common control channel.Firstly,in the cognitive radio network based on the common control channel mode,there exist a channel which can not be interfered by primary users,the cognitive nodes complete a large number of interactions of control information on the control channel: clock synchronization,data channel reservation,sensing results fusion,according to the appointment of data channel on the common control channel,cognitive nodes access to the corresponding data channel for data transmission.Secondly,we divide the cognitive radio network MAC protocol based on common control channel mode into two categories: MAC protocol based on dedicated control channel mode and MAC protocol based on time division mode.In order to avoid the interference to the authorized users on the licensed channel,the cognitive nodes in the cognitive network must be aware of the data channel before they can access the licensed spectrum channel.Then according to the time order relationship between the reservation and sensing of data channel,we also divide the MAC protocol based on the dedicated control channel mode into the MAC protocol which is the sensing before reservation and the reservation before sensing.According to this classification,we propose SBR-DCC,RBS-DCC and SP cognitive network MAC protocol,and give the design details of these protocols.Finally,on the NS3 network simulation platform,we complete the design of program of SBR-DCC,RBS-DCC and SP protocol,and the performance of each protocol is compared with the throughput,end to end delay and delivery rate.Through the simulation we found that in the case of less number of data channels,The network throughput of SP protocol is higher than that of SBR-DCC protocol,however,under the condition that the number of data channels is relatively large,the throughput of SBR-DCC protocol is higher than that of SP protocol,in any case,the network throughput of RBS-DCC protocol is higher than that of SBR-DCC and SP protocol.
