Nowadays, the battle of audience rating proceed in full swing with television screens occupied by star reality showprograms. By contrast, the audience rating of television program like traditional ChineseOpera is precarious, facing a negative survival condition. Faced with the fact that the traditional quintessence of Chinese culture is ignored, it is worthy of our research that how can teletrician save the situation of traditional opera's spreading depression by taking advantage of TV media, strengthen the relation between traditional Chinese Opera culture and audience, especially the young audience, and improve the degree of being worth watching and popularity of TV ChineseOpera.When local satellites strive to introduce and develop new columns to occupy the highest point of audience rating, the CCTV, representing the official voice, launches an original drama show "Ding Geng Long Dong Qiang ", with the participation of both Chinese stars and Korean stars. Though being widely focused and even drawing many discussions as network hot topics before and during broadcasting, this program has been flat in the battle of audience rating among local satellites because of various reasons. This research will choose this original drama show as a case to research how should China's traditional drama TV show seize the moment, develop and innovate themselves by making full use of TV media, especially how to broaden the group of young audience, infuse new blood for the development of traditional drama culture, and inherit the quintessence of China under the new media age.This research consists of four parts. In the first part, this essay will summarize previous scholars' research literature on TV drama, clear up the development process of TV opera, conclude the main types of presently existing TV Chinese Opera programs, and then analyze the difficult condition of present TV opera. In the second part, the author mainly analyzes how this program innovatively combines the traditional opera arts with fashionable type of reality show and how this new type of Chinese Opera program attracts young audience. In the third part, it mainly analyzes some problems existing in the process of this program's innovative attempt. Finally, the author explores the inspiration of this innovative attempt of drama show on the future development of China's drama TV show, and finds strategies that how the ignored Chinese Opera culture can be accepted by the young audience.
