With the advent of the information age, the size of the optical fiber transmission network is increasing year by year, and the business of optical fiber communication is increasing year by year. At present, optical fiber communication network is characterized by large scale, complex and efficient, and the maintenance of optical fiber is limited by traditional means. Fiber optic cable fault location system research and development on the maintenance of optical fiber cable line provides a great help. But at present, there are two main reasons for the positioning of optical fiber cable fault. Firstly,OTDR trace detection signal events such as a fiber cut point is not accurate enough, resulting in fiber length test end event pitch deviation occurs. Secondly,the instrument test data and the actual location can not be accurately matched.In this paper, the OTDR test curve is analyzed with the wavelet de-noising method,combined with LabVIEW and other related technology. We developed and established the fiber optic cable fault location system based on LabVIEW technology?Firstly, the collection of fiber optic cable line, the symbol coordinates, the relay site data to be unified storage, as the LabVIEW call to the database. Secondly, the OTDR test curve is processed by wavelet de-noising method. The results of the experiment are compared with the experimental results to determine the wavelet de-noising threshold and wavelet. Thirdly, by fitting the curve of the cable line, such as the symbol of the cable line,and the LabVIEW technology, the cable fault location system is established, and the operation status of the fiber optic cable line is reflected in real time. Fourthly, the system is to improve the maintenance, and constantly update the database, to strengthen the maintenance and management of optical cable line. The system is tested and proved to be reliable. The reliability of the fault location system based on LabVIEW is proved.
