The rapid development of mobile communication technology has brought great convenience for people's daily life. The digital mobile communication system, which appeared in 1990 s, has been widely used in the world because of its flexible networking, high frequency reuse and strong anti-interference ability. In recent years, the pseudo base station has become a hot issue in the field of mobile security. Pseudo base station takes advantage of the defect of authentication mechanism in GSM communication system and sends spam messages to GSM users. Therefore, it has becoming increasingly important to combat pseudo base station in the field of mobile security.Pseudo base station is a very mobile equipment, it has the characteristics of conceal and difficult to investigate. At present, the control method of pseudo base station equipment has certain limitations. Therefore, the most effective method to eradicate these illegal activities is to explore an effective mechanism for the identification and location of pseudo base stations.Software defined radio is used to handle digital RF signals with the help of the particular software. In the mobile communication field, SDR can effectively improve the compatibility of the system, and the whole system can be upgraded easily while SDR simplifies the development process. In this paper, HackRF One is used as the signal acquisition unit. HackRF One has 8 bit sampling bandwidth, it works through 10MHz~6GHz, so it can fully meet the needs of GSM signal acquisition. The system is composed of three parts, which are PC, HarkRF One board and receiving antenna. The USB interface is used for the communication between PC and HarkRF One, on the other hand the onboard LP43 XX NXP microcontroller is connected to the JTAG through the parallel bus and the GPIO simulation CPLD interface. The ADC is MAX5864, and MAX2837 completes the up/down conversion, and through the broadband mixer RFFC5072 to improve the frequency range, the RF front end uses a LNA/PA amplification, and finally through the Switch TR and antenna connection. This paper first introduces the importance of pseudo base detection and localization for mobile network security; then summes up the principle of pseudo base station, which is used to its detection and location; finally, the system is tested to verify its effectiveness.
