In recent years, the laying of a nationwide power grid basically completed the formation of a ten pattern of transmission and distribution networks. The resulting power information interaction is becoming more and more various, communications equipment quantity increasing, reliable operation risks and hidden danger also will increase. Power communication equipment room within the real-time monitoring, we can discover anomalies, and thus fully protect the safe and stable operation of power communication.According to the actual demand for electric power communication computer room management, and combined with the idea of complex event processing, this paper designed the electric power communication equipment management system based on the technology of RFID event handling. Through the research about the present situation of electric power communication equipment management, determine the overall scheme of the electric power communication equipment management system. This system covers the whole electric power communication computer room management, real-time collection for each device status information, location information, the storage of information, etc., and then transfer them to the background monitoring center, back office system for analysis and decision support, and provide human-machine interface, user-friendly operation.After the design of the overall system architecture, Firstly, choose the hardware equipment at system equipment layer; Secondly, definition and handle events at the system middleware layer, combined with the actual needs of the system, the definition of the incoming event, the presence of the event, left the event and a collection of events, and then through the event processing at middleware layer to the application layer; Finally, the detailed design of the system application layer software. It identifies the functional architecture of the software, describes the device data management, design data receiving management, system management, and several other functional modules, and designs the database and part of the code.Testing of the system is divided into simulation tests and experiments testing. First, the system simulation based on middleware development platform Rifidi, according to the problems analyzed and modified. Then in a laboratory simulation of electric power communication equipment room environment, each module function to test the system to ensure the stability of the system. Test results show that the functions of the system are in line with the design requirements.
