With the development of radar technology and computer technology, the radar modeling and simulation become the main measure of radar performance evaluation and function improvement. Radar modeling and simulation based on Simulink is mostly for certain radar,poor universality; a whole radar system modeling and simulation platform mostly developed by the C language, existing problems that structure is not clear and difficult to modify code.The purpose of this paper is to develop the radar system modeling and simulation platform based on Simulink model library to solve the problems above, providing effective help for the research of radar.This paper using standardized and modular design thought, developed radar system based on Simulink model library, and using mixing programming developed the radar system modeling and simulation platform based on the model library. We developed basic function module which has standard input and output interface by Simulink in this paper, and developed the model management system to manage module, to form model library; then based on the modeling and simulation of different radar system, continue to develop the new functional modules meeting new radar system to enrich model library. In this paper, we use the c#/c++ language, make every program structured, and standardized input and output interface, build the radar system modeling and simulation which has the functions including total control of simulation, radar modeling, parameter setting, display and control terminal,scene control, data playback and performance evaluation; and by the way of data transmission mode including the Simulink data transmission mechanism, mixing programming, file parsing, XML table and memory sharing, we realize the combination of Simulink model library and radar system modeling and simulation platform, successfully developed the radar system modeling and simulation platform based on Simulink model library. In the end, we test the platform by the multi-functional three-dimensional radar modeling and simulation instance, and verify its correctness.Radar system modeling and simulation platform based on the Simulink model library, its model library can be expanded; module for internal improvements will not affect the whole radar system structure; the overall program has a clear structure, easy to maintain and upgrade; based on the model library, platform can realize the modeling and simulation of different radar system, having strong universality, provides the convenience for radar system research work like functional verification of radar system and so on.
