Optical fiber temperature sensor has significant advantage over the traditional electric sensors in some application. However this type of sensor has not yet found applications in the field of meteorology. This paper proposes the application of optical fiber temperature sensor in automatic weather station. A radiation shield, which is used in the optical fiber temperature sensor, is designed.To verify the design of the actual performance of the radiation shield, using the method of computational fluid dynamics. Solar radiation intensity and air velocity as the influence factor of solar radiation error. Set the same environmental conditions, respectively calculated on the traditional thermometer screen and the optical fiber temperature sensor radiation shield by CFD simulation. Analysis simulation results found the traditional thermometer screen due to low reflectivity of coatings and structural, the internal temperature sensor by the influence of solar radiation is more serious. It not only cause larger errors in the radiation, but also caused large hysteresis error. Therefore, the traditional thermometer screen is not suitable for the high precision optical fiber temperature sensor. The optical fiber temperature sensor has the advantages of high reflectivity and structure, so it can significantly reduce the error of solar radiation and reduce the hysteresis error.In order to further reduce the solar radiation error, to correct the measurement value of the optical fiber temperature sensor. Using CFD software to analyze and calculate the radiation error of the optical fiber temperature sensor in the optical fiber temperature sensor under different environmental conditions. The calculation results are fitted by genetic algorithm, and the calculation equation of the radiation error is obtained. The error value of the solar radiation under certain conditions can be obtained by using the equation. And then can correct the measurement value of the optical fiber temperature sensor. In order to verify the accuracy of the modified equation, the values of some characteristic points are calculated by using the correction equation and the values of the same points are calculated by using the CFD method. Contrast correction value and simulation value, the conclusion can be got that the radiant temperature correction equation has good correction effect.In order to facilitate the query and correct the solar radiation error, based on MVC architecture and use the Java language, write a software for correct the error of solar radiation. The software is easy to query and correct the error of solar radiation.
