Reverse engineering is a new subject and technology coming up with the development of computer science and data digitization. Isoline surface reconstruction is a basilica question in reverse engineering and widely used in geological exploration, oil and gas, weather forecasting and other fields. In the currently existing isoline reconstruction method, the input data is processed isoline data, not the original isoline image. And some methods of information extraction of isoline drawing part are semi-automatic and need manual intervention. In the process of vector quantization and the height information need to be manually added, using only the half of the 2D isoline image information. It did not make full use of height labeling information. To solve these problems, this article puts forward a geological surface reconstruction method based on image segmentation.The main work is as follows:1. This paper puts forward a set of automatic geological surface reconstruction method based on image segmentation. Input is a 2D isoline image. It processes isoline part and digital part respectively. And finally match the isoline with the numbers. This method makes full use of the information in the isoline image. It use the original 2D isoline image as input, implements the automatic isoline information extraction and surface reconstruction. The 3D isoline surface model can be reconstructed from the 2D isoline image after a series of processing. The input data is simpler and the process system is more complete.2. This paper also puts forward an automatic isoline vectorization method. Automatic isoline vectorization was achieved by this method. And this method gets rid of the defect that some semi-automatic methods strongly depend on manual intervention. Have a higher degree of automation.3. Based on the above methods, this paper designs and achieves a system of automatic geological surface reconstruction method based on image segmentation In this system we can select the Function module and display the result in the window and we can also modify the errors in the window to ensure that the information is correct.And applies the system to the project of geological interpretation, and get better results.From what has been discussed above, this paper aims at the disadvantage of traditional isoline surface reconstruction method that the input data is not the original, most depend on human interaction and use the information at a low efficiency. It proposes a more perfect system and a higher automation degree isoline extraction method, and use the actual geological data for simulation. Compared with the original method, the process is more complete, the importation is simpler, the degree of automation is higher, and the information extraction is more effective.
