The advent of self-media has become a new peak of network communication technology in the rapidly developing network information age.Using modern electronic high tech,self-media transmits both standard and non-standard message to both specific and non-specific individuals and groups,featuring characteristics of independent,grassroots,vulgarized and individual.Forums,blogs,Q-zones,Weibo,Wechat and online broadcasting make up the main form of online self-media platform,which is characterized by low threshold,strong interaction and simple operation.College students are most closely influenced by social culture,while the most vigorous in pressing ahead with its development.One feeling has been increasingly acute that self-media are having profound effect on college students' growing and development,manners and behaviors,ideological and moral development,and interpersonal relationship.This paper aims to conduct web based survey on college students' self-media habits and investigation a Wechat offical account,on the purpose of gaining an overall view of self-media habits among college students.In addition,having analyzed this issue,we've gained some knowledge concerning the tendency of time consumption,methods,reading contents and objectives on self-media habits.We have studied the way students use it and how they feel about it,and further analyzed what exact influences these habits brought to college students.In this way,we can have a better understanding of what present value self-media has,accordingly renovate the higher education theory,strengthen media literacy education with the support of resources on self-media platform,establish a sound supervision system of campus public opinion,and finally keep the ideological and political education in colleges up with times.
