The Study On Ethical Dilemmas Of Project—Oriented Professional Social Work Practice

The practice education is an indispensable part of social work professional development and is also an important link of professional training.Based on the fact of social needs,transformation of the government functions,and students' lack of intern platform,the way of project-oriented practice emerges at the right time.Unlike previous practice way that is in community or social work agencies,this practice way allows interns to participate in projects and complete tasks of practice while providing services.The practice way can not only solve the problem that students lack of practice platform,but also can improve the predicament that service projects can't find the professional social workers to provide services,and it is currently the best alternative to achieve "win-win" goal and is also a way of practice being widely respected in the field of professional teaching and the field of social work practice.But using a program as the platform to conduct professional practice can bring ethical risks to the interns and leave them in ethical dilemmas.According to author's practice experiences,the author select "Youth Action" project as the research object,respectively extracting from the perspective of students professional practice and service providing,exploring what kind of ethical risks this practice way will bring,and then generalize types of ethical dilemmas,pointing out the causes of these ethical dilemmas' occurring,and hope put forward some ideas about how to make ethical decisions,in the presence of ethical dilemmas,what method can be used to combine service projects with professional practice better and to optimize the goals of service project and the professional practice respectively.The study indicates : Firstly,project-oriented practice has its own rationality,which can solve the problems of students lacking of practice platform and service projects lacking of social workers,realizing the complementary of recourse allocation.Secondly,the ethical risks which are brought by this practice way is not overlooked.Then,the reasons why ethical dilemmas exist are various: the dilemma between the needs of service objects and the profit of service purchasers,the disorder of intern's self-role,the unclearness of standards of project service,the conflict between intern's personal values or social values and professional values and the imperfection of professional Code of Ethics.Finally,the researcher tables the proposals to avoid ethical risks from perspective of project service and professional practice.
