Research On The Current Situation And Problems Of College Students' Digital Reading

Ever since the development and commercializing of the Internet,we have entered an age of information technology,where we are bombarded with an overwhelming amount of information from the Internet.Under these circumstances,people's reading habits,methods and even content has changed dramatically.For university students,reading is their main source of knowledge and information.Their way of reading is different from that of other societal groups,through reading,they get huge amounts of information,and are able to arrange this information into a syllabus that improves their critical and logical thinking.Nowadays,university students' reading method has experienced fundamentally revolution:from the simple paper reading version,transferring to something more digital such as cell phone reading,hypertext links,visions and audios.University students absorb new information mainly from reading,while the occupation of large amounts of time due to rapidly developed Internet technology and the fragmented reading actions is hardly avoided.The through the actual investigation,analyzes the digital reading status of contemporary college students,characteristics and affecting factors of the digital reading research,to explore college students group reflect today's digital reading content,media use and preferences,reading motivation,reading and analysis of its causes.This paper consists of five chapters,as follows:Chapter one introduces the research background,research significance and research objective,which is through the investigation and interview methods to summarize the present situation of college students' digital reading.In addition,according to the results,this chapter will gives the right direction to them.Moreover,through the data collection and integration of the domestic and international research on digital reading,it expounds the research methods and research ideas.The second chapter makes the analysis on the current situation of college student's digital reading.It mainly includes four aspects: reading media using situation analysis,reading motivation analysis,reading preferences analysis reading effect analysis.The third chapter analyzes existing problems of college students' digital reading as wellas the influences.Synthesizing existing problems of the college students' digital reading,studying the internal and external variables that affect the digital reading of college students,and also researching on the reasons why these happened.In the forth chapter,the strategy on improving the current situation of college students' digital reading and promoting the digital reading behaviors are provided.Combined with previous data statistics and analysis,it is pointed out some suggestions to promote the digital reading of college students.The fifth chapter is the summary of the dissertation and provides some deficiencies of the full content.Such as the lack of accuracy and representation of the survey sample,and the research method is not comprehensive.
