The emergence of mobile social media We Chat has changed the mode of human communication,and provides a new channel for information dissemination.We Chat quickly became popular among university students,college students become more friends and maintain an important tool for interpersonal,as they seek social support and social resources platform,provides a new way for users to use and obtain individual social capital.We Chat's popularity in Tibet,the Tibetan people to accept the information changing habits,behavior and needs.The Tibetan students born in the last century,the mid 90 s as in the new media era has become the Tibetan representative groups.These Tibetan college students receive higher education,compared with their parents have a completely different media environment.At the same time,as in the improvement of the infrastructure,the average distribution of educational resources gradually,more and more Han nationality students choose to Tibet university.What are the differences between the Han nationality college students and the local Tibetan students in the media use and the media needs? Because of the difference of the growth environment,education background,humanities and customs,what is the difference between their use of social capital and the local Tibetan college students? What is the difference between the use of We Chat? What are the reasons for these differences?The Tibetan students is critical to the development of reserve personnel,they are affected by the Internet is significant and far-reaching,it is worth studying their social capital,Han students use mobile social media for longer periods of time and can be one of the geographical factors as the scope of the study,this paper also selects the Han nationality students of Tibetan students in Tibetan areas and the University as the research object.The existing social capital theory can not be fully applied to the mobile Internet,the existing research on the social capital of Internet users is lack of the study of the minority college students and the comparison with other groups.Therefore,this study has strong theoretical and practical significance.On the basis of communication and sociology theory,starting from the three dimensions of cognitive structure,and the relationship between social capital theory,four-strength,dependence,interpersonal interaction,friends scale and demographic variables related behavior by comparing the Tibetan and Han students in We Chat,explore the social capital of Tibetan students the.This research is based on the field survey of Sichuan University for Nationalities in the past two times,using the method of questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview.The study found that: in the degree of use,the intensity of the Tibetan college students,dependence and friends on the base of far more than the Han nationality.In interpersonal interaction,Tibetan college students make friends widely,willing to deal with strange friends,Han students are more inclined to chat with their real life in the We Chat friends,skeptical of a strange friend.In the acquisition of social capital on Tibetan students than Han college students to get more weak connections,Han students use We Chat is mainly used to maintain and strengthen their strong connection;Tibetan students than Han students with high degree of social trust,get more social capital;in the cognitive social capital two college students who are more inclined to own and the same group of friends.We Chat used to enhance the self-identity of the two college students,joined more circles,but did not reduce ethnic bias.In addition,the user's use of We Chat is still affected by the traditional culture of different ethnic groups.
