British physicist Wheeler said:Who does not know the fractal concept,it cannot be called have knowledge.Fractal as a form of mathematical language, has been put forward in the 1970 s,and has been used very mature in foreign countries.Fractal is widely applied to various fields, which is applied in the field of architecture.During this time there are a large number of excellent works of fractal. For example, the medieval castle, baroque churches and Indian temple architecture,Wright or Sullivan's works etc. They were not consciously using fractal theory, but the wealth they created is paid attention to the architects and designers in contemporary.Fractal can be said to be the extremely simple rule in the behind of the complex phenomenon. It is the nature of self organization process of the embodiment of the essence. Its self-similar principle and scale invariance for people to know and understand the world has play an important role. This article embarks from the mathematical form of language and the fractal concept, and study the relationship in the fractal and complex spatial in display design. And how does it as a space design basis. Through the theoretical analysis of fractal dimension, around the space dimension, structure dimension and aesthetic dimension to study the application of fractal in display design. Then, summarizes the purification principles, scale change principle as well as the interaction and intergrowth aesthetic dimensions.Based on fractal interation in display design case analysis, summed up the nested and recursive type of design forms. Finally summarizes and looking to the future of fractal can have a better development in the field of display design.
