The Traditional Music Based On Fractal Theory

"Chaos ? fractal" came into the world in the late 20 th century. It is an important concept given by scientists after their analysis of a large number of the unknown characteristics in nature. A lot of natural phenomena can be generalized and inducted through this theory.This paper discusses the origin, development process and vision of fractal theory. It also uses the achievements of this theory and combines with the specific examples of the three spectral structure of musical form in harmony, melody, rhythm, musical structure to give a full range of analysis. This is not a special research to a composer, a certain style of music or musical factions but the use of fractal theory, a new perspective,to observe some of the common phenomenon of music. In this way, can we grasp the peculiar laws of music and read the rich content of music.The paper takes "What is fractal" as the starting point for research and summarizes the results from other disciplines of fractal theory. And then discusses that how does the fractal theory reflect.Introduction: briefly discusses the source of the subject, the research purposes and meaning, the most important and the difficult parts as well as domestic and foreign research status and development trends of the subject. Chapter One: By the definition of "fractal", we understand the history of fractal theory development and its future prospects, and then combine the chaos and fractal theory to explore the similarities and differences between the two fields. Chapter two: the research through melody, harmony,rhythm three subsystems to explore three major subsystems in the performance of musical works, practices and rules. Chapter three: organic integration of the musical structure morphology and fractal theory, links the concrete examples to give a specific spectral analysis, explains the musical form fractal manner and category systematically.Conclusion: to summarize several subsystems of music and musical form fractal, to give a simple analysis of the existence of the general phenomenon as a dynamic system and systematically to sum up the relationship between music and fractals.
